### **About BNB Smart Chain**

BNB Smart Chain (previously Binance Smart Chain (BSC)) is best described as a blockchain that runs in parallel to the Binance Beacon Chain (previously Binance Chain) , bringing programmability and interoperability to BNB Beacon Chain and realizing cross-chain compatibility with BNB Beacon Chain. BNB Beacon Chain and Binance Smart Chain (BSC) will become BNB Chain. This is a transition that highlights BSC’s connection with the BNB token and BNB ecosystem.&#x20;
