The Kelp DAO cross-chain bridge has been exploited. Approximately 116,500 rsETH were fraudulently minted, enabling the attacker to borrow roughly $236 million in assets from protocols including Aave before moving the funds off-platform. Aave has since frozen its rsETH market, and liquidity in the WETH and USDT pools remains under pressure.
If your funds are indirectly deposited in affected lending protocols through yield products, you may experience short-term withdrawal delays. If you route funds through cross-chain bridges, we recommend reassessing the bridge's validation architecture.
