# New Address Transfer Settings

## What is a New Address?

A new address is any address that was not generated or configured within Safeheron. When an approver reviews a transaction sent to an  new address in the App, the system requires the approver to re-enter the address (by pasting or scanning) and verify that it matches the destination address in the transaction. The ***Approve*** button only becomes clickable after the two addresses match.

This mechanism guards against human error, API-level tampering, clipboard hijacking, and similar risks. It is a key security safeguard enabled by default in Safeheron.

### What are New Address Transfer Settings?

New Address Transfer Settings let team administrators fine-tune the scope of secondary address verification — preserving the original security objective while improving approval efficiency in high-frequency scenarios.

Two modes are supported:

**Full verification (default):** Every outbound transaction to a new address requires the approver to re-enter and verify the address in the App before approval.

**Partial verification exemption:** Transactions that meet the team's pre-configured exemption conditions skip the address re-entry step. Transactions that do not meet the conditions still go through the Full Verification flow.

### How to use New Address Transfer Settings

#### Where to find it

Go to **Web Console > Management > General > New Address Transfer**.

All team members can view the current settings; only administrators can edit them.

#### Modify the settings

1. Click **Edit**, select a verification mode, and configure the conditions.
2. Click **Submit for Approval**, confirm in the dialog, and complete verification.
3. The settings then enter **Pending Approval** status and must be approved via Decision-making approval in the App.
4. Once approved, the new settings take effect.

#### Approving an new address transaction in the App

**Full verification:** Tick **Confirm to continue transfer** → scan or paste the destination address → once the address matches, the **Approve** button becomes clickable.

**Partial verification exemption:** The system automatically determines whether the transaction qualifies:

* **Qualifies for exemption:** Tick **Confirm to continue transfer**, then tap **Approve**.
* **Does not qualify:** Proceed with the Full Verification flow and re-enter the address.
